Ivory Cipher · Effective October 21, 2026

In short: Ivory Cipher does not collect, transmit or sell any personal information. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no network connections. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

The app

No data collected

Ivory Cipher works entirely offline. It does not send anything you do in the app to us or to anyone else, and it runs no analytics, advertising or tracking services. We never see who uses the app or how.

On your device

What stays on your device

To remember your progress, the app saves a few small files in its own storage on this device:

None of this leaves the device. Like other app data, it can be included in the iCloud or computer backups of your device, which Apple handles under your own backup settings.

Permissions

Nothing to allow

Ivory Cipher asks for no permissions: no camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location or tracking. It does not use an advertising identifier. The light haptic tap on answers needs no permission and can be switched off in Settings.

Your control

Deleting your data

Open Settings with the gear in any room and go to Your data. There you can clear favorites, reset decipher results or reset study progress. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

Children

Learners of all ages

The app is suitable for learners of all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.

Apple

The App Store

Downloads, updates and reviews happen through Apple’s App Store and are covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us aggregated crash and usage statistics that do not identify you.

This website

Visiting this site

This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising.

Correspondence

If you email us

When you write to us we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply, never for marketing, and we delete the correspondence on request.

Your rights

Access and deletion

Because the app sends us no personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. For any email you sent us, you can ask at any time to see or delete it. People in the EU and UK (GDPR) and in California (CCPA) have these rights by law; we extend them to everyone.

Updates

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page and in the app with the update that introduces it, together with a new effective date.
